Dance, Peace, and Love
Mix together some spicy Latin music hip and fresh or traditional Latin dances such as salsa, mambo, merengue, and samba and you’ve got a recipe for a great Zumba class!
No need to worry if you’re not Frankie Martinez as long as you’re moving and swaying with the music you’ll get the results you’re after.
In contrast to a more traditional group fitness class, Zumba is freer flowing and not as stringent on everyone stepping and performing the exact same movements with perfect timing.
A Zumba class will be exciting and fun and leave you feeling more like you’ve just left an amazing party versus just finishing the first day of boot camp!
Your Zumba instructor should be certified and passionate about what they do and lead you from warm up to cool down.
How long have you been teaching Zumba?
I’ve been an Instructor since 2008
Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you became a Zumba instructor?
I love to get people moving to the rhythm of the music!
In 2008 I drove all the way to Brittany Beach Delaware to get my Zumba Basic 1 Training and Certification.
It took me a year to get an hour class together and get the nerve to get in front of everyone and shake, jump, and wiggle!
I’ve been teaching at WSC North Bethesda and I love dancing and making people smile.
So, did all this come natural to you?
No, not at all!
I never thought I would have the nerve to really get in front of a class and teach.
I just forced myself to get out of my comfort zone and take a chance.
I still get nervous and still forget the choreography once in awhile but I love what I do and everything I do, I do it with all my heart!
I love every single person in my class, and I offer my soul and passion everyday!
Anything you want to say to conclude this?
I have come a long way it hasn’t been easy, but I have loved every single minute of it.
I just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone for all your love and support through all of these years.
Now I get to be in front of you every single day shaking and wiggling all day long, I LOVE MY JOB!
